For Maison Kühne, quality starts not only with how a garment is made, but also with where the materials come from. That is why we consciously work with high-quality and certified materials such as cotton, merino wool, and Filoscozia®.

Our merino wool is RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified. This means that the wool comes from a traceable supply chain in which animal welfare, responsible land management, and transparency are central, among other things. Moreover, RWS-certified wool comes from a chain in which mulesing is not permitted.

For our certified textile products, we also work with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), an internationally recognized standard for organic textiles, which sets requirements for both the fibers and the processing within the production chain. Our production is also OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, where textiles are tested for harmful substances.

For us, these are not just isolated certificates. They are part of the choices we make when developing our collection. For us, quality goes beyond how a garment looks or feels. It is about the materials, the people, the production process, and the choices behind the product.

Made in Italy

For Maison Kühne, Made in Italy is more than just a label. It represents a way of working in which craftsmanship, knowledge of materials, and attention to detail are central.

Our collection is produced in the Latina region, south of Rome, within the rich Italian tradition of textile and clothing production. Here, we work with a family business that specializes in high-quality clothing production.

A personal relationship

For us, a good collaboration starts with trust. That is why we visit our production partner several times a year. Furthermore, a family member of Maison Kühne lives in the area and plays an important role in maintaining our personal relationship with the atelier.

As a result, we are close to the production process and the people who make our clothing. We want to know not only where our clothing is produced, but also how and with which materials.

Traditional craftsmanship and modern technology come together in the production process. There is a great deal of attention paid to manual finishing and the experience of skilled professionals, while at the same time using modern machines and techniques.
